MISHRIWALLA: Department of Agriculture, Sub Division Marh, zone Mishriwalla organised farmers awareness camp at Mishriwalla under the supervision of AEO Mohan Singh.
The camp was conducted by JAEO Mishriwalla Arun Jaral and VAEA Jaswinder Singh and Vishal Manhas.
A large number of farmers took part in the camp and were made aware regarding improved agronomic practices in maize. Stress was laid on line sowing, recommended fertiliser dosages, proper drainage system, use less insecticide/pesticides, adopt IPM techniques, etc.
Sarpanch Mishriwalla Gurbachan Singh also spoke and asked the farming community to come forward for taking maximum benefits from State as well as Central Sponsored Schemes. Others who were present include Panch Sham Lal, Deep Dayal and progressive farmer Balak Ram and Chanchal Sharma.
