Fake jobs racket unearthed; 2 Kashmiri youth arrested; one flees

JAMMU: Unearthing a racket involving fraudsters, who were cheating innocent unemployed youth of Jammu, Gandhi Nagar Police on Tuesday arrested two Kashmiri youth while their accomplice managed to flee.
SDPO Gandhi Nagar DySP, Rafiq Manhas said a local youth Damil Sharma, son of Sham Lal Sharma, resident of Roop Nagar Digiana lodged a complaint stating that persons namely Mohammad Qasim Badana, son of Chandi Mohd, resident of Kangan Ganderbal, Sajad Ahmed, son of Khalik-ul-Rehman, resident of Tangdar Srinagar and Jahangir Khan, son of Habibul Rehman, resident of Tanda Kupwara met him at Digiana and assured him to provide job in MES as a clerk and took Rs 50,000 as advance and rest Rs 1,00,000 after issuing the appointment order.
Thereafter, they gave him a fake appointment. Accordingly FIR 52/2017 under Section 420 RPC was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
During investigation police conducted raids at different locations and arrested two accused namely Sajad Ahmed and Jahangir Khan. Mohammad Qasim Badana has managed to flee during the police raid.
Meanwhile, police has seized fake appointment and joining letter. It has been ascertained that these fraudsters have cheated so many youths. The matter is being investigated, said SDPO Gandhi Nagar DySP Rafiq Manhas.
