JAMMU: The most awaited ”Children’s Day” was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi with joy and enthusiasm, commemorating the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
A group song competition was organised for each class.

A Jakiian of class Upper KG mesmerized the audience with her dance performance. On the special occasion, Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah wished Happy Children’s Day to one and all and commenced the celebration with special words. She expressed, ” As educationists we all must remember that we have a great responsibility towards our society and Nation. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was very fond of children and he always advocated about their education , overall growth and nourishment.”
She added, “I personally believe children are the most precious creation of God and we should protect , guide and love them with all our might for they are the leaders of tomorrow.” This year the Principal herself selected the best child of the year from each section of each class. The best child of JKPS Panjtirthi, session 2025-26, prize was given to a student of class Nursery.
The Prize distribution ceremony to honour the best students of the year was arranged in a grand manner where the Principal encouraged and awarded the best students of the year with beautiful gifts. Attractive gifts were given to the winners of group song competition and general knowledge quiz competition to acknowledge their talents and skills.
Mamta Gupta and Shipra Mahajan, the incharges of the celebration remarked, “Children’s Day is the perfect occasion to make them understand that the confidence is the key to win the battle of life.”
