JAMMU: Excise Department on Monday recovered 1,700 kilograms of Lahan, two working stills and 140 bottles of illicit liquor during the raids conducted at Kathua District.
Under the active supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu, Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the excise team of Kathua led by Arun Kumar Inspector Excise under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta and Excise and Taxation Officer, Eradication Wing, Suresh Sharma raided the Chakdrabkhan, Dadoli and Mirpurjaggu areas of Kathua District. In the process one person was booked, more than 1,700 kilograms of Lahan, two working stills and 140 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered. The 1700 kgs of Lahan was later destroyed by the team on spot.
