Jammu: Excise Department in a drive under ‘Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan’ and on the directions of Excise Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma and the guidelines of Dy. Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Kusum Sharma, the teams of Udhampur-Reasi Excise Range organized an awareness programme on ‘Drug Abuse’ on Friday at Matador Stand, Taxi Stand, District Udhampur and Taxi Stand, District Reasi under the direct supervision of Excise & Taxation Officer, Virender Kumar in collaboration with MVD Department of District Udhampur and District Reasi.
ARTO Udhampur, Jugal Sharma and ARTO Reasi, Rajesh Gupta along with their staff were present in the programme.
About 100 drivers/conductors and other people were present in the awareness programme.
Pamphlets on the aforesaid subject were also distributed among all the people.
At last, the Drivers/conductors and other people were briefed with the ill effects of drugs. The use of drugs is making their lives vulnerable and prone to destruction. Therefore, it is very important to raise awareness about it among our youth and prevent them from succumbing to it.
