JAMMU: Duty Magistrate Jammu Vinod Kumar on Saturday granted 13 days judicial remand of then SHO Khour Mohammad Iqbal Chagattaa and Mamta Kumari lady SPO, involved in sensational custodial rape case of a married woman.
As police presented ex-SHO Mohammad Iqbal Chagattaa and lady SPO Mamta Kumari before the court seeking 15 days Judicial remand, the Judicial Magistrate observed that the offences were heinous in nature and the investigation of the case is still in progress, the Court is satisfied that there are sufficient grounds for granting Judicial remand of the accused persons as it is just and necessary for the purpose of further investigation.
With these observations, the court granted Judicial remand of the accused upto June 30, 2016.
