AKHNOOR: The President Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal and the members of the Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League thanked Lt Gen K.J Singh Army Commander Western Command for honouring ‘Jagruk Hindustani’ of a border village Pindi who informed army about the terrorists movement and also for including some border villages for Sadbhavana programme. The members hoped that army – civil cooperation will not only continue but will improve further and the veterans will play their role in meeting any challenges. The members also congratulated Jagruk Hindustani for his courage, initiative and sense of duty.
Members of the league congratulated Brig S.S Sambyal for being elected as a Chairman of the Sainik Colony, Sunjwan Jammu and his team Col J.B.S Sambyal, Capt Chunni Lal Choudhary, JWO Bodh Raj, Hav Amar Singh and Sep Narinder Singh Jamwal as members and wished them success in their mission to make the colony a great living centre for the veterans and assured full support to the team.
The Executive Committee also congratulated Brig M.M Harjai, Commandant 116 Military Hospital Jammu for winning the ‘Best Hospital of Northern Command Trophy’ for the first time since instituted in 1999.
