POONCH: A joint protest was held by ex-servicemen and Poonch youth in which the participants strongly condemned the anti-army statement of JNU student Kanhaiya. The protesters burned the effigy of Kanhaiya Kumar’. The ex-servicemen led by Subedar J. S Khajuria and Poonch youth led by President Nishu Gupta said that Kanhaiya is making anti-social and anti-national propaganda on the behest of anti-India forces. They demanded that stern action should be taken against such youths.
Prominent among those present in the protest include H/Capt Naar Singh, Om Parkash, Surjeet Singh, Suriya Partap Singh, Sarabjeet Singh Kranti, Kamal Singh and Suresh Kumar.
