Ex-policemen castigate Govt for indifferent approach

KATHUA: To discuss the various long pending issues of ex-Policemen, a meeting was organised under the chairmanship of Satpal Sharma at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park on Sunday.
A large number ex-policemen from city as well as adjoining villages and also from far-flung areas participated.
Reiterating their old pending demands the meeting said due to the lackadaisical attitude of State Government the government employees of dissimilar departments are bound to struggle on roads.
Satpal Sharma recalling the various long pending issues of other departments said that ex-policemen are too part of them. “The government adopting droopy attitude not even bothers to follow the orders of Court”, he miffed.

Raising the issue of long pending pay anomaly, he said that recent pay anomaly Order of Government Number 229/F of 2014 Dated 17th October, 2014, is clear violation of High Court order number SWP 277/2009.
He added that the retired policemen are not going to get any benefit under this Government Order, who were fighting case in High Court against the government since 1996.

Castigating State Government for their struggle, Satpal said that Government is doing injustice with them by not paying their right.
The other speakers raising an alarm warned State Government to provide pay anomaly benefit according to the orders of the High Court, otherwise, they would come on roads and start agitation. The forum members appealed other retired police personnel to attend the next meeting due on 2nd November, 2014 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park at 12: 00 Noon.
Jai Singh, Ram Krishan, Harbans Lal, Bhola Nath, Puran Chand, Mela Singh, Jaswant Singh, Ramesh Singh, Ramesh Chander and many others were present during the meeting.
