ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES

World Environmental Health Day, established by the International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH) on September 26, 2011, is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about environmental health issues and the critical role the environment plays in our well-being.
The main purpose of celebrating this day is to draw attention to the significant damage being inflicted upon the environment and its potential consequences for human health and the planet as a whole. World Environmental Health Day serves as a reminder that we must take collective action to address the environmental challenges. It calls on governments, organizations, communities, and individuals to adopt sustainable practices, reduce pollution, protect natural resources, and work towards a healthier and more sustainable future for all. The environment provides a wide range of essential benefits to humanity, including Oxygen, Clean Water, Food, Energy and Biodiversity, etc. However, the rapid advancement of science and technology has led to increased pollution and environmental degradation, posing a significant threat to our well-being and the planet’s survival.
