Environment awareness programme held


BHADARWAH: In an effort to create awareness among people living in far flung particularly in the student community about importance of clean environment , an awareness programme was organised on the theme of Biodiversity Conservation at Government High School Baggar Doda.
Teacher Satish Kumar delivered a lecture on the said topic and asked students to use this programme to make masses aware, understand and visualise the impact on environmental balance through human interference. He stressed upon the cleanliness of surroundings.
During the programme a rally of students was also flagged off by the Head Master Ruby Näz . She impressed upon the people of the region to conserve biodiversity and forests for maintaining ecological balance and green cover of the area. Local people including Naib sarpanch also joined the rally. Students along with staff and the local people planted several saplings at different places of Bagger. The programme was also assisted by Eco-Club members. Others who spoke on the occasion include javeed, Shalni and Arti.
