Entrepreneurship Development Programme begins at GCW

JAMMU: Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar in collaboration with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India inaugurated ten-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme for the promotion of entrepreneurial skills.
The course aims at providing entrepreneurial skills among educated unemployed youth so that they can be motivated and be self-dependent rather than hankering after government jobs.
Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College, stressed on organising such skill oriented programmes.
B.B Raina, Partner New India Wire and Cable Industries, Anil Suri, MD Tawi Arc Electrorates Private Limited and H.C Vaid, HoD North Polytechnic, Purkhoo Camp delivered lecture on the theme of entrepreneurial motivation through business games, goal setting and writing buisiness plan respectively.
A total of 45 candidates have participated in the course. The diginitaries from various fields will acquaint students with their subject expertise and rich experience in coming days.
Dr. Sujata Slathia, HoD Commerce, Dr. Sudhanshu Sharma, Vinnu Koul, Project Coordinator, Dr. Preeti Salathia and other faculty members of Department of Commerce were also present.
