SRINAGAR: Dr Shehnaz Ganai raised the issue of daily wagers, casual workers, CP workers, consolidated, ITI diploma holders working in PHE Department, she urged the Government to ensure that steps are taken for their regularization in a phased and time bound manner.
Dr Ganai also raised the issue, with regard to failure of SSRB in conducting the exams at Rajouri and Poonch, and neglecting the area, and making the students to shell extra money out of their pockets for appearing in the exams, she urged the Government to ensure that in future the exams get conducted at Rajouri and Poonch.
Dr Ganai also brought the issue of great importance to the notice of the House and asked the Government that in future SSRB be asked to hold the interviews of the aspiring candidates at District level, instead of Jammu/ Srinagar, which puts the unemployed youth in great difficulties and at times the candidates are forced to miss the interviews due to economical conditions. She also urged the Government to see that in these hard times the unemployed students can’t bear the cost of Rs 350 for filling each form and students can’t afford to apply for multiple posts, and rather suggested that on humanitarian grounds the fees for applying through online mode be slashed.
