Enhance cash relief of Kashmiri migrants: JTC

JAMMU: A strong protest was held by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front J&K (SKF) at Jagti Township Jammu under leadership of its President Shadi Lal Pandita on Thursday.
While addressing members, Shadi Lal Pandita said that we have been protesting in Jagti Township for 70th days but the Government is not fulfilling our demands. “We would like to inform the Government that monthly cash relief of Kashmiri migrants is very low as one member is receiving only Rs 3,250; two-member family is getting Rs 6,500; three-member family is getting Rs 9,750 and a four members family is receiving Rs 13,000 per month which is very low,” said Pandita, demanding increase in relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month.
Pandita further said Kashmiri Pandit migrant unemployed youth are worried due to lack of employment. “We demand that a job be given to those houses /families in which no family member is working. We also demand at least 5,000 class 4th jobs for migrants. Moreover, KP youth want to join Police force, as such the Director General of Police is requested to hold recruitment drive in Jagti Township and other migrant camps, for on-spot recruitment of KPs,” said Pandita, added that KPs would continue their agitation till fulfillment of all demands.
Pandita said that the Muslim brothers should not oppose to becoming townships for kashmiri Pandits in kashmir valley for building townships in Kashmir Valley for kashmiri Pandits increase kashmir’s beauty,employment, brother hood and then a Nove Soan Kashmir (new kashmir)will be formed.Sh said in one voice there are some pensioners is in our community who receive very little pension they are not able to afford they should be given free ration immediately.
