JAMMU: Independent candidate from Jammu West Assembly segment, Dr Anil Dhar appealed to public to exercise their franchise and go for educated, honest and upright candidates in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the State.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Dr Dhar, who has taken premature retirement from his government job, said that Jammu West is the area where he worked all his life and his endeavour to try and improve civic amenities there.
Seeking vote in his favour, Dr Anil said if he reach Assembly his priority areas are to provide honest, sensitive and responsive administration, develop better civic amenities, address unemployment, improve healthcare, settle issues relating to PoK and West Pakistan refugees, fight for cause of professionals like doctors, engineers etc and make promotions and selection process transparent and merit based and completely abolish favoritism and red tapism.
Return of Kashmiri migrants to Valley after reaching a consensus on the issue in consultation with all the stakeholders is also his agenda, he added.
