BARAMULLA: The Department of Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) has started a special drive to remove encroachments in and around water bodies in district Baramulla.
According to I and FC Department, 2,600 trees and 31 unauthorised structures have been demolished along the river banks in the district and about 4 km length from Bangdara to Hygam of Ningli Nallah has been cleaned.
Assistant Executive Engineer, I and FC Sopore Sub-Division alongwith a team of officials executed the drive on the instructions of District Magistrate Baramulla.
