JAMMU: The Investiture Ceremony is one of the most significant and eagerly awaited traditions in any school’s calendar – a solemn occasion that symbolises the transfer of trust, responsibility, and hope to the newly elected student leaders. Year after year, it serves as a powerful reminder of the confidence reposed in these young torchbearers, who, donning the mantle of responsibility, pledge to perform their duties with dedication, integrity, and adherence to the values of their alma mater.
In keeping with this proud tradition, the Primary Wing of JK Public School, Kunjwani celebrated its Investiture Ceremony with great zeal, zest, and a sense of solemn pride. This momentous event marked the formal bestowal of authority upon the Junior Main Council and Junior House Council, signifying the school’s belief in their capability to lead with honour and vision.
The occasion was graced by Shashi Choudhary, Director, JK Educational Society; Rajesh Rathore, Principal, JKPS Kunjwani; Anju Kohli, Coordinator; and the entire faculty, whose presence added inspiration and dignity to the proceedings.
In her address, Shashi Chaudhary urged the newly appointed council members to be role models, to embrace humility, and to serve with sincerity as the nation-builders of tomorrow. She reminded them that the values and ethos instilled in them by the school would serve as a guiding light throughout their lives. Her words resonated with encouragement and purpose, setting a high benchmark for the leaders of the future.
The ceremonial proceedings, mentored by Sumeet Kour and Bindu Kumari, witnessed the conferring of sashes upon the newly elected leaders:
Sports Captain-Kevin Sambyal; Vice Sports Captain-Vishnu Yash Sharma; Cultural Captain-Amitesh Suri; Vice Cultural Captain-Japkaran Singh; Discipline Captain-Pragya Singh Pathania; and Vice Discipline Captain-Mahiyal Kour.
The newly appointed Captains, Vice-Captains, and House Prefects included Arnav Deepak Barnwal, Jacqueline Kour, Savya Gupta, Ridhi Khandpal, Urwa Ibtihaj, Sehajpreet Kour, Anhad Singh, Amania Gupta, Mannat Saini, Swara Sharma, Medhansh Singh, Mohd Hamza, Avneet Kaur, Aarav Malpotra, Mehransh Singh, Shirij Uppal, Smardeep Kour, Lavanya Sharma, Jaskirat Kour, Rahini Thapa, Arnav Singh Yadav, Hartaj Singh, Rishab Singh, and Jessica.
With sashes worn proudly across their shoulders and a pledge in their hearts, the council members vowed to uphold the values of JKPS, lead with example, and carry forward the school’s tradition of excellence.
The event was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark of pride, promise, and purpose in the hearts of all present.
