JAMMU: Border Security Force on Thursday apprehended a Pakistani national in Arnia Sector of Jammu, an official spokesman here said.
“Alert BSF troops this morning in Arnia sector apprehended an elderly Pakistani national who crossed over the International Border,” said the spokesman.
He said that during preliminary investigation he revealed his identity as Shahnabaz, son of Ali Bahadur, resident of village Mankot, near Khanoor, tehsil Pasroor, District Sialkot, Pakistan.
“Individual is quite weak and seems to have inadvertently crossed over to Indian side,” he said, adding that efforts are on to contact Pak Rangers for identification and return of the individual.
Last week BSF killed a woman intruder in Pargwal Sector and arrested another in Kathua sector of Jammu region.
