SRINAGAR: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has decided to Gherao the Civil Secretariat on Monday (December 19) in support of their demands including implementation of Seventh Pay Commission.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, EJAC 3rd front leader and General Secretary, Syed Ghulam Rasool Geelani informed “We would go for Civil Secretariat Gherao on 19th December to press the government for formulating a regularization policy of daily wagers, casual labourers and other seasonal workers.”
“This is a protest against the dilly- dallying approach of the government towards this issue,” he said. He further said the employees are demanding implementation of Seventh Pay Commission.
Geelani appealed to the employees to go for mass casual leave on 19th December as a token of protest against the government approach towards their demands.
