POONCH: The Inter Zone district level competition in the disciplines of volleyball and kabaddi for under-14 boys began at Sports Stadium Poonch with great enthusiasm.
Dignitaries present on the occasion included District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch, Mool Raj Uttam, Narinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Jatinder Singh, Amaresh Kumar, Rajinder Singh, all ZPEO’s, and Pawan Kumar, Physical Education Lecturer.
Around 200 young boys in the under-14 age group participated in this competition as part of the activity calendar issued by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K, held under the direction of the Director, Department of Youth Services and Sports, Subash Chander Chibber and under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch, Sh. Mool Raj Uttam.
Earlier, the August gathering was welcomed by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch, Mool Raj Uttam. He also highlighted the activities of DYSS and extended his best wishes to all the participants, advising them to play the game with the true spirit of sportsmanship.
All matches are being held under the technical supervision of PEMs, PETs, and ReKs of the Department of Youth Services and Sports. Vijay Kumar PEM acted as Master of Ceremony.
Prominent others present included Sarla Bakshi, Harjeet Kour, Rajesh Kumar and Devinder Singh (all PEM).
