Dy Excise Commissioner inaugurates Back to Village-IV at Ban Sultan

JAMMU: Like other parts of J&K, the Back to Village-IV programme, started at village Ban Sultan, Miran Sahib, Teh R S Pura, in which Nodal Officer, Kusum Sharma, Deputy Excise Commissioner, Jammu inaugurated the good governance initiative in presence of Sarparnch Dev Raj Sharma. Earlier, the Nodal Officer was accorded a warm welcome by Panchayat members and local people of village.
Speaking on the occasion, Kusum Sharma talked about Back to village-IV programme and also highlighted effectiveness of the initiative. On the occasion, Panchayat members highlighted several problems faced by villagers. Later, Kusum Sharma also met President, Senior Citizen Forum along with other senior citizens and listened to different problems faced by senior citizens. She also visited and reviewed ongoing work on lane and drains in village.
The Panchayat members expressed gratitude to the government and lauded the initiative of Prime Minister for the initiative. They requested Nodal Officer to visit Shiv Nagar area of Panchayat to review ongoing works. Kusum Sharma also got details of all representative of different department, who gave detailed overview of the schemes launched for people. The programme culminated with discussion on life of Mahatma Gandhi, his philosophy, corruption-free India and Nasha Mukti Abihyan. The representatives of Tehsil Office, BDO office, ICSD, Health Department, Education Department, Irrigation Department, PHE, PWD, HDFC Bank, SBI Bank of Miran Sahib were also present on the occasion.
