SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on Saturday extended felicitations to P.V Sindhu, the ace badminton player, on winning the silver medal in Rio Olympics last evening.
In his message of felicitation, the Deputy Chief Minister said the star sportsperson has made India proud by becoming the first sportswoman to win an Olympic silver medal.
“I hope she would serve as a source inspiration for the young and upcoming sportspersons so that they can bring laurels to the country by making their mark in various sports and competitions globally,” he said.
