Dutta exhorts women to be part of NC’s massive win

NAGROTA: Lauding the political sagacity of women electors, Provincial President National Conference Women Wing Vijaylaxmi Dutta has said that her party is poised to a big win in the ongoing elections to Legislative Assembly across Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing several election meetings in Nagrota Constituency, Dutta particularly hailed the enthusiasm among women about the elections saying they have been outnumbering men in casting votes as they are the main stake holders of development, which National Conference is pursuing single-mindedly.
Dutta referred to the path-breaking initiatives taken by National Conference from time to time with regard to improving female literacy, ensuring their representation in grass roots level democratic institutions and empowering them in various fields of socio-economic fields. She said all round development, permanent peace, public empowerment and youth and women welfare are the basic pillars of National Conference’s political agenda. “You have witnessed the work done by the National Conference Government.”
Making a mention of the report card of Omar led government during the past six years, she said power generation, employment creation, skill development, women and youth welfare, upgradation of health, road communication, water supply, industries and entrepreneurship development sectors have got impetus adding that with the support of the people National Conference will continue to work for achieving newer goals in these fields.
Dutta exhorted the people, especially the women and youth to vote National Conference candidates to steer Jammu and Kashmir to new pinnacles of growth and progress. Referring to the enthusiasm among voters of Nagrota Constituency, she exuded confidence that Devender Singh Rana will register a big win at the strength of work done during the past six years, especially in his capacity as Member Legislative Council. “Rana’s devotion in changing the developmental profile of Nagrota is inspirational for others to emulate”, she maintained.
