JAMMU: Police on Monday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 25 grams heroin from their possession.
According to report, a party of Police Station Gangyal during a Naka at Gangyal Chowk, intercepted one Zest Car bearing registration No JK02BQ-4060 which was coming from Satwari toward Bari Brahmana with two occupants.
During search, police recovered 25 grams heroin like substance from their possession.
The drug peddlers have been identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Sarwan Dass, resident of Laswara Tehsil, Bishnah and Ashu Choudhary, son of Roshan Lal, resident of Vijaypur.
In this regard a case FIR No 36/2018 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Gangyal.
The arrest was made by S.l Nayat Ali, SHO Gangyal assisted by Incharge Police Post Greater Kailash, S.l Vicky Thappa under the close supervision of SDPO City South Jammu, Mohammed Rafiq Manhas and SP South, Sandeep Choudhary.
