SRINAGAR: Continuing its efforts to eradicate drug menace, Srinagar Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered prescribed drugs from his possession.
Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Station Shaheed Gunj laid a Naka on Secretariat Road and during checking a Santro vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-2350 driven by Imran Sheikh son of Mustafa Sheikh resident of Tankipora, Srinagar was intercepted.
On search, 2,500 tablets of Spasmoproxyvan were recovered from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and a case FIR number 12/2016 under section 8/22 NDPS was registered and investigation was taken up.
