RAMBAN: In furtherance to tightening noose around narcotics smugglers under Operation Sanjeevani, a police team of Police Station Dharamkund during naka checking on 10-07-2022, observed one pedestrian who was coming from Dharamkund towards Harog by foot with a bag in his hand and on seeing police party suddenly stopped walking and tried to return back from the spot but the alert police party after hectic efforts chased and apprehended him. He disclosed his identity as Parvez Ahmed S/O Jamal Din R/O Prathmulla tehsil Gool District Ramban. During his search, 10 pieces of challian weighing 120 gms Charas like substance was recovered from his Possession . On this, Case FIR No. 34/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in P/S Dharamkund and investigation set into motion.
The overall Operation was carried out by police party headed by ASI Rehmatullah khan under the supervision of Insp. Sam Paul Gill SHO PS Dharamkund & Dy.SP Nihar Ranjan SDPO Gool with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Ms Mohita Shama, IPS.
