Dr Mitali starts drive to plant 75 trees in herbal park

JAMMU: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated in a programme organised by Dr. Mitali Gupta at Trikuta Nagar, here on Wednesday.
She collaborated with Bharat Vikas Parishad started the derive of planting 75 trees in this year. The programme was organised in a herbal park which contains 50 herbal plants.
The park has been adopted by her and was inaugurated by LG. Manoj Sinha.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, who started the plantation drive by planting the Rudraksh tree.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor applauded the efforts of Dr Mitali Gupta and said if every person in the society starts the initiative of adopting a park and planting 75 trees the day is not far that we will achieve the target of ‘Clean Jammu Green Jammu’. He urged the people of civil society to make Jammu plastic free, and keep it clean and green so that we can achieve the target of Swachh Bharat.
Earlier, Dr. Mitali Gupta recalled the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s drive “Sankalp Se Siddhi” and said that lets pledge to plant 75 trees to make it possible. Later, the Mayor distributed 20 plants among the prominent people of civil society. Earlier, the welcome address was given by the president Barat Vikas Parishad Trikuta branch Rahul Kohli.
Other prominent persons who addressed the gathering include National President Bharat Vikas Parishad Ashok Khajuria , Ex Corporator Ward No 53 and Patron Shubh Chander Verma and Vaneeta Kohli.
The program was presided over by the Ex- Principal Parade College, Prof. Vijayluxmi.
