DPS Nagbani organises fancy dress competition

JAMMU: To commemorate the initative taken by the freedom fighters of India and instill the spark of patriotism in the students, Delhi Public School (DPS) Nagbani organised India Week.
During this week various activities were conducted which required the maximum participation of the students.
Today a fancy dress competition on the theme ‘our national heroes’ was organised in the school premises with the aim to bring out the hidden talent in the students and build up their confidence. Students from Pre-Nursery to 1st showcased their talent by dressing up as various freedom fighters. It was a delight to watch the children as they came up and spoke about the character they were dressed up as. The zeal with which they presented themselves was amazing. Throwing light on the lives of these national heroes, the Principal of the School, R.K Verma said that it was due to their sacrifices that we are able to live in free India today.
He emphasised that we should remember them and always pay rich tribute to them.
In the end, prizes and merit certificate certificates were distributed to the winners by the school principal.
