LEH: Delhi Public School (DPS) Leh on Monday organised fruit-Chaat party for the Kindergarten Section comprising of classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep.
A total of 390 students participated in the party and were excited, overwhelmed, happy and full of enthusiasm as their teachers are cutting and slicing the different varieties of fruits. The idea behind organising such party was to teach the students the names of different varieties of fruit together with an idea to inculcate among them the habit of eating fruits. In this way they can develop a healthy habit. Principal, Subhash Kumar, went around the classes and interacted with the students. He posed many questions to the toddlers who answered nicely. He further told the students that mango is the national fruit of the country besides the king of fruits. The students were happy to share their views with the principal, co-ordinator and class-teachers.
Principal further asked the teaching-faculty members to teach the students practically as such the knowledge imparted through this means shall be easily grabbed by the students and it is indelible.
Executive-Member and Educational Adviser T.P Singh also applauded the efforts of the staff and stressed upon the need to have more such like activities so as to build confidence among the students.
