UDHAMPUR: A one-day district Convention of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) was organised at Udhampur which was presided over by DPAP Provincial General Secretary Brijmohan Sharma, Pritam Kotwal, State Secretary Priti Khajuria and District President Ashwini Khajuria. Party’s main workers & Leaders from Udhampur East & West, Tikri, Jib-Thathi, Mogri, Pancheri, Majalta, Chennai, Ramnagar participated and all of them gave a grand welcome to the newly elected DPAP office bearers of state, provincial and district. In meeting, district committee and zonal members were unanimously elected and the list was sent to the state provincial president for approval from Chairman DPAP. Further strategy was also discussed to strengthen the newly formed party in the entire Udhampur district. Speakers in the meeting said that in the coming time, they want to see former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad once again as a Chief Minister of Jammu And Kashmir as his policies are very clear for J&K UT. “The golden era as a chief Minister of Azad is unforgettable and remembered by everyone in the state, he serve state above caste and religion”, speakers said adding that now whole responsibility to happen this again is purely on the shoulders of workers for which all of we work together day and night and Ghulam Nabi Azad will have to be seated as the Chief Minister so that people’s problems can be resolve, such as restoration of full statehood, Land right, employment, issue of Kashmiri Pandit employees, daily wagers, causal Labour, Rehbar Khel, NYC, NRHM and other genuine issues.
Rajinder Singh, who had contested DDC elections from Apni party from Tikri block and Ajit Singh, who had contested DDC elections from Ghordi and currently block president of Aam Aadmi Party, left their parties and joined Democratic Progressive Azad Party.
