Double storey structure gutted

BHADARWAH: In yet another incident of fire in Bhalessa area, a double storey residential house was completely gutted in a mysterious fire that broke out at village Malaano in Kahara Tehsil of Bhalessa area in Doda district this afternoon.
According to reports the residential house belonging to two brothers namely Aashiq Hussain and Altaf Hussain Sons of Ghulam Nabi Malik of village Maloono caught fire this afternoon and within no time all house hold goods and entire house consisting of 8 rooms perished in fire. As fire tenders did not reach the spot.
Villagers alleged that despite informing the police well in time, fire tenders were not pressed into service and they were left to remain but mute spectators as there was nothing they can do to control the frightening flames.
The cause of fire was due to shot circuit, police said.
“As soon we came to know about the fire at around 2pm, a team from Kahara police post was immediately rushed to Malaano village. Police along with locals tried best to douse the fire with limited resources but could not control it because the house was made up of dry wood and the fire by the time we reached their had engulfed entire house,” said SHO Gandoh Tariq Hussain Naik.
As per preliminary investigation, it seems that the inmates left the heater on after cooking the food which developed in shot circuit resulting in uncontrollable fire and hence huge loss of property,” SHO added saying that luckily there is no human loss or injury in the devastating fire.
KAHARA: The Indian National Congress (INC) State Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has expressed deep sorrow over the huge loss of property in the tragic fire incident today at Malanoo Kahara in which one double story house belonging to Molvi Ashiq Hussain Malik and Altaf Hussain Malik was completely burned.
Expressing his deep sympathies with the Ashiq Hussain and Altaf Hussain families who lost their house in the tragic fire accident, Saroori asked District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda to carry out relief and rehabilitation measures including free ration, tin sheets, blankets and others for the Kahara fire incident victims.
He urged administration for proper and timely compensation, relief for the effected family, Saroori said the government should provide every possible support to the victims so that they could not face any problem in the prevailing cold conditions.
Meanwhile, Saroori also condoled the death of Alhaj Mohammad Shafi Butt son of Ahamdullah Butt resident of Badanoo Thathri, Zanifa Begum Wife of Shamash Din Sheikh resident of Hoja Bhola Kahara and Saroop Singh son of Bhagat Ram resident of Patnazi Bunjwah. He conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty to give them courage to bear this irreparable loss. MLA Inderwal G. M Saroori also prayed for peace to the departed souls.
