KATHUA: BSP candidate Som Raj Majotra has
castigated previous regimes saying that since independence none of the political party thought of giving heed to poor and downtrodden public. Despite giving a helping hand, the governments still were compelling them to struggle for their rights.
While addressing the gathering at Ram Leela Ground, Som Raj Majotra said that people are not getting ration at government shops, lack of drinking water facilities is compelling them to suffer from thirst, in absence of power the people are bound to reel under darkness, at hospitals poor people do not get any facility, education is so costly that poor cannot even think of providing a better education to their children.
“As far as social welfare is concerned, thousands of files concerning widow pension, handicap pension and files related to other welfare schemes are lying under the cover of dust”, he miffed.
Som Raj Majotra further said that Bahujan Samaj Party believes in moving ahead with the cooperation of people from all religions, castes, sex and creed without any discrimination.
Before this, BSP National General Secretary Nariender Kashyap while addressing the gathering said that he is here in the rally with the message of party President Mayavati and the overwhelming presence of people over here has proved that the message would definitely come out with flying colours.
Appealing the voters to cast vote in favour of Som Raj Majotra, he made the people aware not to fall pray to false propaganda and remain united.
After meeting, the supporters carried out massive rally from Ram Leela Ground to Kalibari Chowk.
MP Avtar Singh Kareempuri, State General Secretary Ram Chand, State Secretary Kewal Jasrotia, District Coordinator Variender Sharma, District President Babu Ram, District Youth President Sunil Majotra, Dev Raj, Hem Raj, Shiv Kumar, Yog Raj, Raj Kumar and many other leaders were present on the occasion.
