Dont drag cricket into petty politics, Chairman JKCA

Dear Editor,
This has reference to your news item of 4th May “JKCA bickering kill cricketing talent in J&K”. I feel the matter has been blown out of the proportions and some vested intrests for reasons unconnected with cricket. If the cricketer Mehjoor Sofi has submitted any request for issuence of NOC, the same was denied by a lower functionery in the association, he could have immidiatly contacted or even mailed the request to me as Chairman of JKCA.I would have ensured the same levelling alligations like turn the JKCA into full fledged political plateform has no basis. No distinction was made while slecting the national teams for diffrent national level competitions dispite the fact that parallel trials were held by the erestwile office bearers and even those players were considered and some got selected into the State team who joined the trial even on last date.
We are in the association to encourage and promote cricket and crickters and have no right to stop any crickter from playing abroad or within the country of course within the framework of the guidelines of BCCI.We in the association have nothing to do with the politics. Elections in the association are the part of demonstratic process. Players have nothing to do with the democratic process. They have to play cricket for the State regardless of the fact as to which is the dispensation controlling the association.
Moreover when the cricketers themselves are managing the association, the players shuld never ever think of such an anti-cricket attitude from them, shuld not fall pray to the machanation of the person who are the architect of the multi-crore scam in the association. Most of the ills in the association are because of the misdeeds of those persons who were controlling the JKCA for last 15 years.
