Don’t confine girls within four walls: Khanna

POONCH: Felicitating the girl students for their meritorious performance in recently declared results of 12th class, BJP National Vice President and Jammu and Kashmir Prabhari, Avinash Rai Khanna said that the girls have outshined boys showing that they are no less capable than the boys in all field.
“It is the bounden duty of the society to provide equal opportunities and level field, without discrimination to them and not confine the girls to kitchens, to enable them achieve their full potential,” Avinash Rai Khanna said while felicitated girls students for securing high merit in 12th class during his visit at Christian colony of the Poonch town.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s view that girls should be treated as important as boys has been universally accepted,” he said adding that the launching of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ campaign across the country to educate the families about the importance of ensuring healthy growth environment and educational facilities to the girls and help them in contribute in nation building and not to eliminate them while still in the womb.
While talking to Dalit and Christian families, Khanna said that both BJP and its government under Narendra Modi is concerned for equality in the society and stands for social and economic uplift of the weaker sections, including Scheduled Castes.
He said that ‘Samajik Samrasta’ is the basic creed of Modi Government meant to ensure dignified and happy life of Dalits, which is reflected in policies and programmes launched by it.
Later, while chairing the meeting of District Office bearers of Poonch, Khanna said that every activist is the face of the party and it becomes imperative on his or her part to contribute in making people aware about the welfare schemes and developmental projects launched by Narendra Modi Government during the last two years and the efforts to achieve goal of good governance, development and uprooting corruption from the country.
“In J and K also not a single case of scam or corruption has been noticed during ten months rule of BJP-PDP Coalition Government, which indicates the commitment to the public probity of the party,” he asserted.
Khanna was accompanied by State Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, District President Poonch Capt. Bansi Lal, MLA Ravinder Raina, Pardeep Sharma, Sunil Gupta and other party leaders
