Dogri Sanstha releases Raju’s short stories collection ‘Addh Majhatai’

JAMMU: A collection of Dogri short stories ‘Addh Majhatai’ by renowned fiction writer and columnist Rajeshwar Singh Raju was released at a function at the KL Saigal Hall, here on Sunday under the banner of Dogri Sanstha.
Published by Maya Sansar and dedicated to the memory of late Raghubir Singh Salathia, the released book incorporates eleven short stories on a variety of social issues characterised by deep humanism, psychological insight into human character and behaviour in effective language.
Ved Rahi, celebrated Dogri and Hindi writer-director was the Chief Guest while Balwant Thakur, Stage Director was Special Guest and Anjali Sharma, Director Jammu Doordarshan was present as the Guest of Honour. Dr Lalit Magotra, noted writer presided over the function.
Ved Rahi said Rajeshwar Singh had mastered the art of creating life like characters in his stories.
Congratulating Raju on the release of his new collection of short stories, Balwant Thakur and Anjali Sharma appreciated the literary, journalistic and theatrical pursuits of Raju and said that he had proved his worth by winning Prof Ram Nath Shastri Memorial Award -2015 for his first book of short stories titled ‘Khoudhai’.
Dr Lalit Magotra said thai Dogri Sanstha had credit of encouraging many short stories writers and Raju’s present collection is a significant adage to Dogri literature.
In his welcome address, Chhatrapal, President of Dogri Sanstha, congratulated the writer on the publication of his second collection and said that the stories of Rajeshwar delicately paints the human sensibilities in impressive style to unveil many social dogmas in varied hues and colours.
Rajeshwar Singh Raju read one story from the book and shared his writing process with the audience.
Hindi and Dogri poet, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, General Secretary, Dogri Sanstha conducted the proceedings.
