JAMMU: A poetry book in Dogri ‘Mere Geet Merian Gajalan’ penned by Rakesh Sharma ‘Tript’ was released by Nami Dogri Sanstha here at K. L. Saigal Hall.
Dr. Chanchal Sharma presented a literary paper on the book giving critical analysis of the book.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas the function was presided over by Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President, Nami Dogri Sanstha. Ashok Jogi, State Secretary and Chairman ST, SC and OBC Cell was the Guest of Honour and Dharam Chand Shastri, former professor of Sanskrit was Special Guest on the occasion. Capt Lalit Sharma former APCCF and Prof. Anupama Sharma shared the podium. The programme was conducted by Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary of Nami Dogri Sanstha. Rakesh Sharma ‘Tript shared his perception of the book as its writer and recited few couplets from the book. Kavinder Gupta said that over the years Dogri writers and poets have given valuable and quality literature, which can be compared with literature of any language in terms of its diversity, depth and standards. Harish Kaila said that writers and artists are mirrors of the society and their creativity not only sterlises the thinking process of the society but also revitalize the social ethics and values. Ashok Jogi complimented the Nami Dogri Sanstha for its tireless literary endeavours.
Dharam Chand Shastri said that literature, art and culture makes an individual a fine human being. Vote of thanks was presented by Capt. Lalit Sharma.
