Dogra Law College organizes farewell function

JAMMU: Students of Dogra Law College, Bassi Kalan, on Thursday organised farewell function in the college auditorium with pomp and show.

The proceedings of the programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana and the presentation of various cultural items.

Principal, Dogra Law College, Gurmeet Kaur welcomed all the dignitaries and thanked all the host students for participating in the event.

Former Minister and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak was the Chief Guest who stressed that this day is not an end but signifies beginning of a new life and that their bond with the College will not end here.

They will always remain ex alumnus of the college. Some of them will be lawyers, some will be future Judges, Some will go for Civil services and some may choose other career options. He advised students, that hard work, dedication and determination is the only key to success.

Colourful programme including Dogri dance, Group dance, solo and group songs and Title giving ceremony were presented by the students, which was highly lauded by the audience.

Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Prof. B.D Damral, Director (Academics) and S.C Khajuria, Director Campus Dev. and Administration were also present to grace the occasion.

Souvenirs were also distributed among the outgoing students of the session.

Naman Sharma and Malkeet Kour were adjudged as Mr DLC and Miss DLC respectively. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Sajid Sheikh, Faculty member of Dogra Law College.
