 STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (AG) Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu city in demand of shifting the NIT campus from Srinagar to Jammu.
The continuous stone pelting by the outsiders on the campus shows that the some of the local miscreants want to disrupt the educational atmosphere and turn it in to the tensed ambience which is just not suitable for education, Ashok Gupta said.
The protest and stone pelting is being done on the orders of the so called saviours of Kashmir whose only purpose is to spoil the harmony so that they can run their shops, he alleged.
The so-called saviours of Kashmir, he said, don’t want the local students to get any education form the institutes because they want to indulge them in heinous activities for their own petty means which is basically to spread the anti-India and seditious activities in the Valley.
Gupta stated that the students of J and K are studying outside in various institutes of the country and action like this which took place in the NIT Srinagar would only compromise their safety and the so called saviours of Kashmir are only interested that there should be unrest among the people so that the young generation of Kashmir remains uneducated and should return to the Valley to serve them for their petty means.
The children of these so called saviours of Kashmir are getting their education in the foreign universities but on the contrary these saviours of Kashmir are spoiling the atmosphere of education so that the youth doesn’t have any future and this is the thing which is supposed to be understood by the people of Kashmir, he said.
A delegation of students from NIT met Ashok Gupta at his residence and demanded immediate shifting of NIT from Srinagar to Jammu so that they can get there education. They further expressed their resentment towards the JKP that they were thrashed for waving the Tricolor and the atmosphere of the campus is very unsafe.
He stated that the Mata Vaishno Devi University which is in Jammu has been ranked among the best universities in the country and students from all over the country are getting their education there as the atmosphere of Jammu has always been good for education, so the campus of NIT be shifted from Srinagar to Jammu so that the students feel safe and can get there education peacefully.
The party workers present in the protest were Parkash, Krishna, Geeta, Sukhdev, Raj Kumar, Ashish, Birbal, Lal Singh, Suresh Chinotra, Roop Lal, Ram Paul and Abhishek.
