BARI BRAHMANA: Dogra College of Education, Bassi Kalan on Monday organised Display Your Talent in the college auditorium with great pump and show.
The proceedings of the programme began with lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
A colourful programme was presented by the students of the college belonging to the states of J and K, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar which captivated the audience fully.
The displayed items of talent comprised of solo performance, Dogri song, Punjabi dance, Sufi song, contemporary dance, skit, Bollywood dance, Chinese song, poem recitation, Ghazal, Dogri Lok Geet, Modelling and Hindi songs. More than 40 students participated in the function to make the occasion a memorable one.
Former Cabinet Minister and also the Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak was the Chief Guest while Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, Samar Dev Singh Charak was the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
The Chief Guest lauded and appreciated the talent exhibited by the students belonging to the different States of India and stated that such programmes enable the students to express their hidden talents in the best desirable way.
The Director cum Principal of the College, Prof. B.D Damral stressed upon the need of such programmes which help the students in identifying and nurturing their talent.
Vice Principal, Shefali Sharma emphasised and appreciated the talents of the students which always contribute to the development of self confidence and self expression. Arti, Shalini, Reetu and Diksha were the comparers of the programme who put all their efforts of eloquence in presenting each item of the programme before the audience.
Prominent others present on the occasion was Bela Charak , Academic Coordinator Dogra College of Education.
The programme concluded with the declaration of Ankush Kumar as Mr. Talented and Rohi as Ms Talented. The panel of judges comprised of Bela Charak, Rajni Manhas and Rashim Chib.
