Doda District wins Inter-District U-14 Cricket trophy

SAMBA: Doda District won the Inter-District Division level Cricket Tournament for Under-14 boys at the Sports Stadium here on Tuesday. It was organised by the District Youth Services and Sports Department, Samba under the guidance of Director General DYSSO Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed and supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
While the Jammu team scored 60 runs in the 10-over match batting first, the Doda team easily achieved the target for the loss of only two wickets and won the trophy with eight wickets.
Aditya Abrol from Jammu District was declared as Best Bowler of the tournament, who bowled 10 overs and took eight wickets by giving only 22 runs. Sourav Katoch from Doda District was declared as Best Batsman of the tournament. He scored 80 runs in the tournament. He was also declared as Man of the Match.
In the closing ceremony, DG DYSSO, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed was the Chief Guest while SSP Samba Joginder Singh was the Guest of Honour who gave away trophies to winner and runner up teams in the presence of Additional SSP Samba and SHO Samba.
Other dignitaries present were Rakesh Verma, B.D Sharma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh all are Zonal Physical Education Officers and Dr. Sunil Dubey
The tournament was officiated by the technical panel comprising Rajesh Sambyal, Shivnandan Singh, Anirudh Singh Slathia, Dildar Singh, Chander Parkash Sharma, Dhanraj Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Raju Sharma, Chander Sharma, Deepak Sharma, Shashi Bhushan Sharma, Avtar Singh, Keshav Singh, Kapoor Chand, Kranti Sharma, Deepak Sharma, Zorawar Singh Sambyal and Roopa Sambyal.
