Jammu: Even as recommendations have been made for the termination of services of a doctor in Reasi for prolonged absence, 122 absentee employees have been placed under suspension, during surprise inspection by various teams.
The Chief Medical Officer, Reasi Dr Parminder Singh has recommended termination of Dr. Shakti Devi, Medical Officer, ISM for remaining absent since 20th September, 2014.
During surprise visit, the CMO charge sheeted Dr. Arun Deyol and Dr Aijaz Lone, for remaining absent. They have been asked to explain their position immediately.
Dr Parminder Singh held a meeting at Mahore and reviewed the progress of institutions and schemes running under Nation Health Mission in the block. He emphasized the need for implementing the scheme with a missionary spirit.
The team of District Programme Management Unit comprising DPM Wassim Akram and DM&E0 Vikas Anand checked all the records in detail in all the far flung institutions of Block Mahore.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohammad Javed Khan today suspended 122 officials who were found absent from the duty during surprise inspections conducted by district administration teams across the district.
To check absenteeism in the government offices, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar had deputed ten teams of senior District Officers to conduct surprise inspection of the government offices across the district.
The inspection teams, comprising District Officers and respective SDMs and Tehsildars inspected government offices in Kishtwar town, Dool, Drabshalla, Bunjwah, Sarthal, Palmar, Padder, Chatroo, Warwan, Marwah and Dachhan areas.
In a total, 122 employees including teachers, VSAs, para medical, clerical and field staff was found absent from their duties.
During the inspection, some dispensaries and health centres were found closed. Taking strong cognisance, the DDC placed all absent employees under suspension and initiated enquiry against them.
