DN Pangotra elected Joint Secretary of TFI

NEW DELHI: The Secretary J and K Taekwondo Association, Deveki Nanadan Pangotra has been elected for the post of Joint Secretary Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) during the election held at Indian Olympic Bhawan New Delhi.
It is for the first time that a person and office bearer of J and K Taekwondo Association has been elected as the Joint Secretary of TFI.
The election was held as per the order of Delhi High Court dated 30th March and 18th May, 2016 to settle the long pending dispute of the Federation and to streamline the processes for all the taekwondo lovers.
Chetan Anand from Odisha has been elected as the President and Prabhat Kumar Sharma from Jharkhand as Secretary General of TFI along other office bearers.
Delhi High Court had appointed Justice M.L Mehta, former judge of Delhi High Court as Returning Officer for conducting the elections and Joint Secretary IOA Kuldeep Vats as Observer delegate of IOA and Inderjeet Singh Pabla as Observer from Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India.
Pangotra has assured the taekwondo players and sports person from Jammu and Kashmir that soon there will be great development for the uplift and prosperity of taekwondo in the State and he will try his hard to make true the dreams of Father of Martial Arts in Jammu and Kashmir, late Vishal Sharma.
P.C Sharma, President J and K Taekwondo Association along with other office bearers congratulated Pangotra for his election as the Joint Secretary of TFI.
Gulzar Hussain Munshi, President Kargil Taekwondo Association along with all office bearers also congratulated Pangotra.
