UDHAMPUR: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal on Friday met the office bearers of Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI), J and K State branch, who are on National Heritage Trek Expedition, at Kud, here.
Kotwal was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary and other officers from district administration.
Kotwal, while interacting with Taran Singh Hon. Secretary and Balwan Singh Dy. Director Adventure Promotion, discussed the ongoing Seventh National Heritage trekking expedition.
Expressing his happiness about such events being organised in backward areas like Pancheri, Lander, Kati, Mantalai and bringing the national and international tourists to State by organising national heritage trek expedition, Div Com said that Mantalai and Sudhmahadev are very important places and efforts for bringing these places to national and international tourism map are being done.
Shahid Iqbal assured all help in organising heritage trekking expedition in Udhampur District.
Taran Singh thanked the Udhampur administration and District Police for the support in smooth conduct of the trekking expedition.
