SRINAGAR: Principal Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Raj Bagh Nisheeth Srivastava on Saturday declared District Srinagar Carrom Championship open in the indorr hall of the institute, here.
In the opening ceremony, Aarif Khan General Secretary J and K Carrom Association, Firdous Ahmed Khan ex-Secretary J and K Carrom Association, Mudasir Khan Organising Secretary of the event and Adil Rashid Shah, ex-Vice President of the J and K Carrom Association were present.
Welcoming all the players and officials of the association, Adil Rashid wished good luck to the participants.
He appealed to youth, who are going to bad track like drugs and other odd things which ruined their life, to take part in different sports activities which are organised by different sports organisation from time to time.
He also requested Secretary Sports Council Javid Shah and other sports authorities to register players in stadium and provide space at Indoor Sports Complex Sports for routine practice, so that they remain acquitted with this game and do their best in forthcoming state and national championships.
