Choudhary Club, Dharilerote Volleyball Club clinch titles

RAJOURI: The District Rajouri Volleyball Championship, organized by the District Rajouri Volleyball Association under the banner of the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, concluded with thrilling matches. The championship featured 10 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams from across the region.

In the men’s final, Choudhary Club faced off against Rajab Volleyball Club in a five-set thriller. Choudhary Club emerged victorious with a 3-2 set score, winning 25-21, 23-25, 24-26, 25-23, and 15-10.
In the women’s final, Dharilerote Volleyball Club dominated the match against Patrara Volleyball Club, clinching the title in straight sets with scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-18.
The event was graced by Satish Kumar, JKPS DySP HQ, who was the Chief Guest. He commended the efforts of the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and the District Rajouri Volleyball Association, especially Mohd Tariq, for their dedication to promoting the sport among the youth, particularly from the remote and border areas of Rajouri district.
In his address, Satish Kumar urged the youth to avoid negative influences such as drugs and to contribute positively to society. Also present were Shammi Dogra, JKPS DySP, and Bashir Ahmed, Manager of the Sports Stadium Rajouri, who were the guests of honor.
The officials overseeing the matches included Khalid Hussain, Jameel Ahmed, Altaf Hussain, Bharat Bhushan, and Sheraz Ahmed.
Special acknowledgements were made to Shabbir Ahmed, Sageer Khan, and Shakeel Ahmed, who were also present on the occasion to support the event.
The championship was a huge success, showcasing both competitive spirit and sportsmanship among the participants.
