District Annual Plan review meeting held

ANANTNAG: District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Tasuduq Jeelani on Monday convened a meeting of all sectoral officers to review pace of development under District Annual Plan for the year 2014-15 under various sectors.
It was given out that an amount of Rs. 116.76 crore approved for current year’s plan allocation for district Anantnag, out of which an availability of Rs. 30.74 crore have been made available against which an expenditure of Rs.15.94 crore has been made upto ending September 2014.
While taking sector wise review of the achievements made in the district, the meeting was informed that under R&B sector an expenditure of Rs. 66.87 lakh on various schemes against an availability of Rs. 153.75 lakh. 10 km were blacktopped while as 110 meters of walls, lanes and drains were constructed during the period. The R&B department also completed 15 bridges and work is under progress on 36 bridges.
Under RMSA, the department has taken up construction of 56 school buildings, out of which 5 buildings handed over to Education department, 10 completed and work on tress level/final finishing on 18 school buildings under progress.
The JKPCC has completed A&B block of District Hospital Anantnag and work is progress on Block C. The total estimated cost for the District Hospital was at Rs. 59.50 crore, out of which an expenditure of Rs. 26.40 crore has been made by the agency so far while as Sub District Hospital Kokernag has already been completed and handed over to department. The construction work is under progress for Government Degree College Kokernag, Utrsoo and Anantnag.
The District Development Commissioner stressed up on the concerned officers and engineers to gear up their men and machinery and work with dedication and make judicious use of Government money. He also directed for redoubling their efforts in achieving the targets both physically and financially. He also advised the officers to strictly follow the MCC.
The meeting was attended by all the District and Sectoral officers of the district.
