UDHAMPUR: To provide succour and relief to flood affected people under operation Ehsaas, the district administration in coordination with 187 Bn Central Reserve of Police Force(CRPF), at Battal Ballian Udhampur jointly organised a relief camp for the flood and landslide affected families in the district at Udhampur on Sunday.
The camp was organised under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal.
During the relief camp, DDC, Mudgal along with Commandant 187 Bn CRPF, M.K Sharma distributed relief material which included blankets, sweaters, shawl for ladies, rain coat, candles, kitchen sets and food items etc among the affected families during recent flash floods and landslides in the district.
Mudgal appreciated the efforts of the CRPF and other agencies engaged in relief and rescue operations in Udhampur District and said their efforts will help in saving several lives.
She impressed upon the officers to put in their efforts to raise and mobilise resources to enable the district administration to help the much needy flood victims.
Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, IAS Ravinder Kumar, Executive Engineer R&B, Adjutant 187 Bn CRPF, Suresh Kumar, Deputy Commandant, 187 BN CRPF, S.S Bali, Tehsildar Udhampur, Sanjay Badyal and senior officers of the civil administration and 187 CRPF were also present on the occasion.
