JAMMU: The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Jammu has been re-established under the Consumer Protection Act of 2019 and has resumed its operations. Starting from March 27, 2023, the commission will hear cases on a regular basis.
The commission will take up cases that were pending before the earlier District Consumer Forum, which was wound up in October 2019. Litigating parties and members of the public are advised to approach the commission for any pending cases.
A list of pending cases and their next scheduled dates is available on the notice board of the commission.
The re-establishment of the commission provides an avenue for consumers to seek redress for their grievances and ensures that their rights are protected under the law.
