JAMMU: Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Prof Bhim Singh urged President of India, Pranab Mukherjee to impose Governor’s rule in J and K without any delay and dissolve the State Assembly in the interest of the people of the whole country so that the people of J and K shall also be relieved of their pains, sufferings and from the chaotic situation they have been caught for the past 48 days.
Singh said that the press conference addressed by the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh along with the J and K Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti which was witnessed by people in the country has left no doubt that peace in J and K is possible only with the imposition of Governor rule. The Governor rule can be imposed by the Governor of J and K under Section 92 of J and K Constitution (Constitution of India is not applicable to the State of J and K).
He appealed the people of three regions namely, Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu that they should start a dialogue without any official dictate from the Central or the State Government.
Singh made a strong appeal to Maharaja (Dr.) Karan Singh that he should convene a meeting of all the stakeholders in the civil society and particularly Dr. Farooq Abdullah (son of Sheikh Abdullah), Syed Ali Shah Geelani (Hurriyat leader), Moulvi Omar Farooq, Shabir Shah, Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Moulvi Abbas Ansari and all other social and political activists at the earliest to work out an action peace plan so that reasonable efforts are be made to heal the wounds inflicted in the minds of the people of J and K and a fresh era is launched to ensure that a wave for peace with justice gets a start once again.
Singh also declared that the Panthers Party shall convene a meeting of all political and social activists where Hurriyat Conference leaders shall also be invited to participate as the Panthers Party has done in 2005 and 2007 when more than 50 leaders from different political parties and groups were invited by him for talks in New Delhi.
