SAMBA: The Chief Justice High Court of J and K, Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar directed the judicial officers to speed up the disposal of cases and to dispose of the cases which are more than five years old.
Laying foundation stone of new District Court Complex at Nandani Hills here on Tuesday, the Chief Justice instructed the concerned officers to speed up the construction of proposed Court Complex, and to use the best material and techniques for the said construction so as to ensure that the new complex keeps catering the growing need of building/infrastructure for the years to come.
Administrative Judge for District Samba, Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur Judge J and K High Court and Justice B.L Bhat Judge J and K High Court also graced the occasion.
The Chief Justice accompanied by other Judges of the High Court of J and K inspected the working of Courts in District Samba.
Chief Architect briefed the Chief Justice and other Judges about the lay out plan for the complex with a display of drawings as well as pictures of the proposed Court Complex. The new complex would include spacious Court rooms, lawyers chambers, mediation center, conference hall and residential accommodation.
The function was also attended by Kaneez Fatima Registrar General J and K High Court, Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Inder Singh Principal District and Sessions Judge Samba, Dilbagh Singh MD Police Housing Corporation, Officers of Subordinate Judiciary, SSP Samba, ADDC Samba, ADC Samba, Additional SP Samba and Sukhdev Singh President Bar Association Samba.
